Your first thought may be to reach for the curling iron to ‘bump’ your ends, but in order to retain length and avoid breakage and split ends, heat should be avoided as much as possible.
So exactly what is a girl to do?
We’re sharing with you a healthier way to revive your bounce for a few extra days in between salon visits.
Give your relaxed and straightened tresses a quick pick-me-up with flexi-rod rollers these Juicy tips! –Natelege Whaley
Apply a cream leave-in conditioner, Cantu Shea Butter Leave-In Conditioner to the ends of your hair. Its repair system will soften and strengthen your ends. Be sure not to over-saturate your hair with the product. Comb through.
Part your hair into sections and place ends of hair towards the center of your flexi-rodrollers. Begin rolling your hair until you hit the root, lock roller in place by twisting/bending both sides down in pretzel formation towards the center. For looser curls, use thicker rods. For a tighter curl, a thinner rod will suffice.
Once hair is fully set, you may tie it down with a satin scarf, and stay in place overnight.
In the morning, remove flexi-rods. You may use a wide-tooth comb or your fingers to pull out the curl. At this point you should have soft ends that have been revived.
Apply moisturizer, such as Organic Root Stimulator Olive Oil Creme Moisturizer. Follow up with a natural oil, such as olive oil, to seal in the moisture.
This style should get you through an extra day or two before your salon visit, and have you bidding farewell to your curling iron and harsh heat.
Even better, you’re now on your way to having healthier ends and retaining length for hair that grows!
